Job summary

Alignment Health seeks a Data Governance Analyst to join the Data Governance team, executing governance across data quality, metadata, standards, and lifecycle management. You will work with data stewards and technology teams to ensure data assets are well-documented and compliant with Medicare Advantage operations.

The role emphasizes root cause analysis of data quality issues, development of data quality rules, and governance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Healthcare Informatics, Business) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with data governance, data quality management, or metadata practices in an enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with HIPAA/privacy requirements and CMS regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data quality issues across enterprise systems and perform root cause analysis; document findings and drive resolutions.
• Assist in defining and monitoring data quality rules and thresholds; track metrics and escalate when needed.
• Maintain enterprise data glossary and metadata catalog to ensure consistent cataloging of assets.
• Track governance issues and actions through full lifecycle; produce status reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Validate data across integration and transformation processes; collaborate with data engineering to ensure governance standards.
• Assist with audit documentation and compliance validation related to HIPAA and CMS data obligations.
