Job summary

Batesville is seeking a Data Governance Manager in Cincinnati, OH area. You will design, implement, and manage Batesville’s data governance program to ensure trusted, secure, and compliant data for analytics and decision-making.

You will lead the governance operating model, collaborate with IT and business teams, and drive policy adoption while embedding privacy and regulatory compliance across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, data management, or related field.
• Eight years in data management with four years in data governance.
• Deep expertise in governance frameworks, policies and standards.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage stakeholders.
• Knowledge of metadata, data quality, and data stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Map enterprise data flows, sources, and usage with business teams.
• Lead governance policy implementation for stewardship and data quality.
• Select and administer data governance tools to support objectives.
• Establish data quality metrics and monitor privacy compliance.
• Align data retention with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Embed governance in platforms, pipelines, and analytics use cases.
• Collaborate with IT to enable governance-enabled infrastructure.
• Oversee data validation, defect management, and remediation.
• Provide guidance on classification, access, sharing, and lifecycle management.
• Drive adoption through training and audits; report metrics to leadership.
• Monitor trends and regulatory changes to improve governance practices.
• Own enterprise data catalog and metadata program with KPI rules.
