Job summary

Batesville is seeking a Data Governance Manager in the Cincinnati, OH area to design and manage the enterprise data governance program, ensuring trusted, secure, and compliant data for analytics and decision making.

This hybrid role requires aligning governance with privacy, records, and risk, while partnering across IT, analytics, and business units to embed governance throughout data platforms and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/IS/Data Management or related field.
• 8+ years in data management with 4+ years in data governance.
• Experience designing governance frameworks and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Map enterprise data flows, sources, and usage with business teams.
• Establish governance policies, standards for stewardship, data quality, metadata, and lineage.
• Select and implement data governance and quality tools to meet objectives.
• Develop data quality metrics and monitor integrity, privacy, and compliance.
• Align data retention and records practices with regulatory requirements.
• Embed governance into platforms, pipelines, APIs, and analytics use cases.
• Partner with IT to design governance-friendly infrastructure and privacy controls.
• Oversight of data validation, defect management, and remediation processes.
• Foster data stewardship through classification, access controls, and lifecycle guidance.
