Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Irvine, CA, is hiring a Data Governance and Stewardship Lead on a hybrid schedule, 2–3 days in the office. You will develop, operationalize, and validate a governance framework mapping data usage and access across internal inventories.

Your work includes policies, controls, workflows, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to enable governed access to preclinical, clinical, and commercial data assets supporting safety and product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data science, CS, IS, engineering or life sciences.
• Experience with data governance in regulated environments.
• Experience with cloud technologies to manage data platforms and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Implement data usage policies, access controls, and data stewardship requirements across data assets.
• Design and implement data governance programs, controls, and standards.
• Develop automation workflows applying data access policies to governed data holdings.
• Collaborate with business teams to embed governance standards enterprise-wide.
• Support audits, governance tooling, metrics, and continuous improvement.
