Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech Electrophysiology (JJMT EP) in Irvine, CA, is hiring a Data Governance and Stewardship Lead. The role supports development and operationalization of a governance framework for data usage, access, and compliance. Hybrid schedule, office presence 2–3 days weekly.

You will design programs, policies, and controls to ensure data quality and compliant access, collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting audits and governance metrics.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in data science, CS, IS, engineering, life sciences, biomedical engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in data governance within a highly regulated industry.
• Experience with data governance technologies for stewardship, quality, lineage, and access management.

Responsibilities

• Implement and operationalize data usage policies and access controls across data inventory assets.
• Design and improve data governance programs, policies, and controls for high-quality, compliant data access.
• Develop automation workflows applying data policies to governed data holdings.
• Collaborate with business teams to embed data usage standards across enterprise data.
• Support audits and governance tooling evaluations and scalability initiatives.
• Maintain business glossary, data integration, and data lineage activities.
• Partner with IT and data teams to implement governance workflows in data platforms.
