Newcastle Building Society is recruiting a Data Governance Manager to design, implement and embed the Group's enterprise Data Governance Framework. You will work with a team of Data Governance Analysts and collaborate with Data Engineering, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Business leaders to deliver the Data Governance Strategy aligned with the wider Data and AI Strategy.

The role focuses on governance ownership, CDEs, metadata, lineage and retention, plus embedding Data Ownership

Qualifications

• Experience leading governance initiatives within Financial Services, Banking, Building Society or Insurance environments.
• Strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management and wider Data Management disciplines.
• Experience delivering governance training and awareness programmes to embed a data culture.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and embed the Group's enterprise Data Governance Framework across the organisation.
• Collaborate with Data Governance Analysts and cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Architecture, Risk, Compliance and Technology.
• Develop and deliver the Society's Data Governance Strategy in line with Data and AI Strategy.
• Establish governance policies, standards and controls and drive data quality improvements.
