Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight and thoughtful challenge of data governance strategy.
• Assess ownership, stewardship, and accountability models across the enterprise.
• Lead independent assessments to evaluate governance frameworks and controls.
• Evaluate data quality, controls, and issue management practices.
• Oversee data risk identification and reporting to leadership.
• Align with regulatory expectations (privacy, retention, data use).
• Partner with first line to shape strategy and maturity, without owning execution.
• Deliver actionable insights to governance committees on risks and priorities.
