FSR, LLC. seeks a Senior Data Governance professional in the Washington, DC area to lead enterprise data governance initiatives using Microsoft Purview.
You will configure governance policies, drive metadata management, and collaborate with data owners and technical teams to ensure data quality and security. The role requires 7+ years of governance experience, US citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust, and strong communication and leadership skills.
Job Type: Direct Hire
We are recruiting exclusively on behalf of a premier data and technology innovation hub and certified Benefit Corporation working at the center of the U.S. federal government’s mission. Founded on the conviction that the best solutions come from trusting skilled people, they give their teams real ownership, intellectual freedom, and the support needed to solve complex federal challenges.
They do not hire just to fill seats—they place top-tier technical talent where the hardest problems are. If you are looking for an environment where business success directly creates client value, social value, and long-term professional growth, this is the team for you.
In this role, your initial assignment is to drive enterprise-level data governance for a key federal agency utilizing Microsoft Purview. You will establish and enforce the policies, standards, and processes behind the management, quality, cataloging, and security of enterprise data.
(Note: This is where you start. As the firm continues its rapid growth, you will have opportunities to expand responsibilities, shape best practices, and spin up new organizational capabilities.)
You turn governance from a static policy binder into a vibrant system people use every single day. You are just as comfortable configuring Purview settings as you are leading a workshop with executive data owners. You are a self-starter who experiments, learns quickly, and prefers taking full ownership of an outcome over simply completing assigned tasks.
An Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
