Job summary

Waystar in Atlanta seeks a Data Enablement + Governance Manager to lead enterprise data governance strategy, ensuring data accuracy, security, and responsible use across the organization. You will partner with cross-functional teams to define policies, standards, and accountability models, driving regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR) and data stewardship culture across business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 7+ years in data analytics or enterprise information management.
• Experience with governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with data governance tools.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of a scalable data governance strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Define and enforce enterprise-wide data quality standards and ensure consistent implementation across business units.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of data governance artifacts including policies, data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and metadata repositories.
• Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and technical teams to develop and manage data classification, access controls, and lifecycle policies.
• Drive the implementation and adoption of data governance platforms and tools to support governance workflows and automation.
• Facilitate data quality issue resolution through root cause analysis, remediation planning, and ongoing monitoring.
• Support operational teams by providing guidance on data standards and assisting in the resolution of data quality gaps.
• Track, report, and communicate data governance metrics, risks, and progress to executive stakeholders.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and industry best practices, continuously evolving the governance program to meet emerging needs.
