Job summary

Waystar is seeking a Data Enablement + Governance Manager to mature our enterprise-wide data governance program. You will spearhead policy development, data quality standards, and regulatory compliance across the organization, partnering with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and trust.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data governance, information management, business, or related field.
• 7+ years in data analytics, data quality, or enterprise information management.
• Experience with governance frameworks, data stewardship models, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).
• Proficiency with governance tools and technologies (Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
• Experience building data quality measurement frameworks and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of scalable data governance strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Define and enforce enterprise-wide data quality standards across units.
• Create and maintain data governance artifacts: policies, data dictionaries, lineage, metadata repositories.
• Collaborate with data owners and tech teams on classification, access controls, and lifecycle policies.
• Drive implementation of data governance platforms and automation.
• Facilitate data quality issue resolution via root cause analysis and remediation planning.
• Support operations by guiding data standards and addressing quality gaps.
• Track, report, and communicate governance metrics and risks to executives.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and evolve the governance program.
