Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Control Manager for Data Governance within the Chief Data & Analytics Office.

The role focuses on establishing and maintaining a robust control environment for data governance initiatives and ensuring alignment with firm-wide risk appetites and governance frameworks. The incumbent will lead SME activities on policies, standards, and common controls, collaborating with CDO stakeholders and control partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of financial services experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance.
• Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts and RCSA design with partners.
• Experience identifying risks associated with data and mitigating controls.
• Knowledge of data-related regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 239).
• Strong understanding of the three lines of defense in banking governance.
• Independent self-starter with ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to communicate complex topics clearly.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the control environment for Data Governance initiatives.
• Manage firmwide common processes, risks, and controls for Data Governance.
• Identify, assess, and document key risks and controls with CDO stakeholders.
• Serve as SME on firmwide Data Governance policies and standards.
• Socialize and adopt firmwide common controls with stakeholders to CORE.
• Lead risk assessments for Data Governance initiatives and track findings in CORE.
• Ensure controls are reflected in CORE and across LOBs/CFs where appropriate.
• Drive data quality, governance, and reporting improvements with leadership teams.
• Foster a community of practice for Data-related control managers across the firm.
