Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Control Manager for Data Governance within the Chief Data & Analytics Office in Jersey City. You will establish and improve the control environment for governance initiatives and manage firmwide processes, risks, and controls in CORE.

You will partner with CDO stakeholders to identify risks, implement mitigations, and ensure compliance with data policies, standards, and three lines of defense.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 7+ years of financial services experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance.
• Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment with business partners.
• Experience identifying risks related to data and implementing mitigating controls.
• Knowledge of data regulatory requirements such as BCBS 239.
• Strong understanding of the three lines of defense in banking (Compliance, Conduct & Operational Risk).
• Independent self-starter able to navigate ambiguity and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to articulate complex topics clearly.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and improve the control environment for Data Governance initiatives.
• Manage firmwide common processes, risks, and controls for Data Governance in CORE.
• Identify, assess, and document key risks and controls for the CDO with stakeholders.
• Serve as SME on Data Governance policies, standards, and processes.
• Socialize and adopt firmwide common controls related to standards and procedures.
• Lead risk assessments for Data Governance initiatives and document findings in CORE.
• Verify key controls are reflected in CDAO and across LOBs and CFs using CORE.
• Drive data quality, governance, and reporting improvements with leadership and stakeholders.
• Foster a community of practice among Data-related Control Managers and leaders.
