JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Jersey City, NJ seeks a Control Manager for Data Governance within the Chief Data & Analytics Office to establish and improve the data governance control environment and align with firmwide risk appetite.

You will partner with CDO stakeholders, manage risks, document controls in CORE, and drive standards, processes, and reporting to strengthen data quality and compliance across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of financial services experience in controls, audit, risk management, or compliance.
• Strong knowledge of control and risk management concepts and ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment with business partners.
• Experience identifying risks associated with data and implementing mitigating controls.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements around data (e.g., BCBS 239).
• Understanding of the 3 lines of defense in banking institutions and related frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the control environment for Data Governance Initiatives, aligning with risk appetite and governance frameworks.
• Establish and manage firmwide common processes, risks, and controls for Data Governance, ensuring consistency and accurate reflection in CORE.
• Identify, assess, and document key risks and controls for the CDO with stakeholders, ensuring sustainability and CORE recording.
• Serve as SME on firmwide Data Governance policies, standards, and processes, guiding stakeholders and control partners, with CORE controls.
• Support the development and adoption of firmwide common controls related to standards and procedures, documenting in CORE.
• Lead risk assessments for Data Governance Initiatives, identifying issues and ensuring findings are reflected in CORE.
• Verify controls in data policies are reflected in CDAO and across LOBs/CFs, leveraging the CORE platform.
• Drive continuous improvement in data quality, governance, and reporting with leadership and control partners.
