Job summary

Oorwin AI is seeking a Governance Analyst to support the IDOH data governance program in Indianapolis. You will help develop data dictionaries, govern data sharing, and drive policy execution with clear guardrails.

You will lead training, measure KPIs, and collaborate with data stewards and legal to ensure data quality and compliance across divisions.

The role emphasizes practical governance, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement to unlock data assets for agency efficiency.

Qualifications

Experience using Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog or similar data catalog tools.
Strong integrity and work ethic.
Relationship management across IDOH divisions.
Ability to align priorities with strategic initiatives.
Decision-making and root cause analysis.
Excellent communication and time management.
Experience with data lineage tools and methods.
Understanding data analysis life cycle in a business setting.
Receptive to critical feedback and adaptable.
Ability to build trust across teams.
Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Manage intake and routing of internal and external data requests with audit trails.
Coordinate with Legal on Data Sharing Agreements and retention obligations.
Document technical metadata sources and enrichment needs.
Draft and operationalize agency data governance policies and SOPs.
Develop and deliver data literacy and governance training.
Report KPIs and governance roadmap progress to leadership.
