Job summary

Oorwin AI seeks a Data Governance professional to support Indiana IDOH's data governance program. You will help develop data dictionaries, lead stewardship initiatives, write governance policies, and deliver training across agency staff.

You will collaborate with data owners and program directors to roll out governance guardrails, enforce data protection, and measure training uplift. This role emphasizes stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog or similar.
• Integrity and strong work ethics.
• Relationship Management across IDOH divisions.
• Project Oversight aligning priorities with strategy.
• Root-cause analysis and timely decision-making.
• Excellent critical thinking, time management, and communication.
• Experience with data lineage tools and methods.
• Understand the data analysis life cycle in a business setting.
• Ability to accept feedback and adjust approaches.
• Build trust and cooperation across teams.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Intake, triage, and route internal/external data requests.
• Maintain audit trails and enforce accountability.
• Coordinate with Legal on Data Sharing Agreements and retention/destruction obligations.
• Track timelines, SLA adherence, and escalated overdue items.
• Identify and document metadata sources and enrichment requirements.
• Maintain catalog fields and Dataset Reference Sheets.
• Draft and operationalize data governance policies and SOPs.
• Develop data literacy and governance training for staff.
• Collaborate with data owners to align priorities across divisions.
• Define KPIs and report governance progress.
