Job summary

Dow is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support enterprise governance practices. Located in Midland, MI or Houston, TX, the role focuses on maintaining governance artifacts, improving data quality, metadata documentation, stewardship support, and applying governance standards across business domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience at US E5 level or Canadian equivalent, or 5 years of experience in lieu.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or related field.
• Foundational understanding of governance concepts, metadata, and data quality management.
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders to support data-related efforts.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship offered.

Responsibilities

• Execute established data governance processes, policies, standards, and controls.
• Support enterprise governance initiatives through governance activities and deliverables.
• Follow governance methodologies, templates, and best practices.
• Create and maintain business metadata, technical metadata, glossary entries, and data catalog content.
• Document business definitions, data ownership, stewardship assignments, and data lineage.
• Maintain governance repositories and standards documentation.
