Job summary

Dow seeks a Data Governance Analyst to join our Midland, MI or Houston, TX team. You will support governance practices, maintain governance artifacts, and improve data quality across enterprise data assets.

This role requires collaborating with business and technical teams to ensure metadata accuracy, lineage, and compliant data management. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with attention to detail and experience working with diverse stakeholders to implement governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience at or above U.S. E5 or Canadian equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of data governance, data management, analytics, or related field.
• Understanding of governance concepts, metadata, and data quality management.
• Experience collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work legally in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Execute established data governance processes, policies and controls.
• Support enterprise governance initiatives through artifacts and deliverables.
• Apply governance methodologies, templates and best practices.
• Create, maintain metadata, glossary entries and data catalog content.
• Document data ownership, stewardship, and data lineage.
• Maintain governance repositories and supporting materials.
• Perform data quality assessments and validation activities.
• Monitor data quality metrics and identify data issues.
• Support root-cause analysis and remediation for data quality challenges.
• Execute testing/validation related to governed data assets.
• Collaborate with Data Governance Managers and SMEs to capture requirements.
• Prepare governance documentation and recommendations for review.
• Populate enterprise data catalogs and governance platforms.
• Support data classification and ownership alignment activities.
• Maintain metadata for governed data assets.
• Support governance communications and training materials.
• Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of governance practices.
