PharmaEssentia Corporation in Burlington, MA, USA is seeking a Manager, Data Foundations & Integration to lead data ingestion, governance, and enterprise data-warehouse operations. The role includes overseeing external vendors and owning DCR, MDM, and data-governance processes to ensure reliable, governed data for analytics and AI applications.

The position follows a hybrid model with on-site presence and reports to the Data Strategy & Operations Lead.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, data management, engineering, business analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data management, governance, data operations, data-platform management, or a closely related role.
• Demonstrated experience leading DCR, data-issue management, or comparable controlled data-change processes involving multiple business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of MDM concepts and operating practices, including identity resolution and survivorship.
• Experience directing external vendors that perform data operations or technical delivery, including setting requirements and managing service levels.
• Experience overseeing Snowflake or a cloud data warehouse, with understanding of access, security, monitoring, and cost management.
• Technical fluency in SQL, data models, integration patterns, and warehouse architecture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end data-ingestion lifecycle, including source assessment, onboarding, requirements, data mapping, validation, and handoff.
• Direct external vendors to design, build, test, deploy, and operate ETL pipelines for data into the warehouse.
• Translate business needs into ingestion requirements, data contracts, quality controls, and acceptance criteria for vendor execution.
• Review vendor pipeline designs, mappings, transformations, and plans for alignment with security and quality standards.
• Manage vendor delivery against scope, timelines, SLAs, cost expectations, and quality; escalate risks when needed.
• Monitor data freshness, completeness, accuracy, and pipeline reliability; coordinate incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Establish ownership and handoffs among source-system owners, external data providers, and downstream data-product teams.
• Own the DCR process from intake to closure, including approvals and validation with vendors.
• Lead MDM processes across domains, including identity resolution and reference data management.
• Serve as the accountable decision-maker for vendor-executed ingestion, DCR, and MDM activities.
• Improve ingestion, DCR, and MDM processes by standardizing workflows and adding automation.
• Establish and maintain data-governance standards including lineage, access, retention, and privacy.
• Oversee Snowflake environment governance, including access, monitoring, cost, and platform changes.
