Job summary

The World Justice Project (WJP) invites applications for a Research Intern in Washington, DC. The six-month paid internship supports its research team, with an immediate start and a hybrid in-office/remote schedule requiring at least 60% in the DC office.

Candidates should have completed an undergraduate degree in Political Science, IR, Public Policy or related field, and be located in the Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

  • This internship is open to graduates (B.A. or M.A.) in Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, or another related field.
  • Successful applicants will be bright, highly motivated individuals with attention to detail and an interest in the rule of law.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting questionnaire and conceptual framework developments through desk research and literature reviews.
  • Assist with the primary data collection process for QRQ expert surveys, including survey design, administration, outreach, and data management.
  • Prepare drafts of PowerPoint presentations and outreach materials for external distribution.
  • Support data collection, data presentation, and data visualization projects.
  • Provide general research assistance to WJP’s portfolio of global initiatives as needed.
  • Support Rule of Law Index report activities and US-focused research.
