Job summary

CFS, a Houston-based nonprofit, is seeking a Data Entry Specialist to support Development and Finance with donor data management and gift processing. You will work hands-on in Raiser’s Edge NXT to keep donor records accurate and up-to-date, and you’ll help with reconciliations and reporting.

This role emphasizes attention to detail and collaboration with fundraising teams, including donor communications and stewardship activities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data entry or nonprofit development
• Raiser’s Edge NXT experience required
• Knowledge of fundraising processes preferred

Responsibilities

• Enter, maintain, and update donor and gift information in Raiser’s Edge NXT.
• Process and reconcile gifts, pledges, and restricted funds.
• Prepare gift transmittals, reconciliations, and reports.
• Assist with donor communications and stewardship.
• Document gift processing SOPs and aid Development operations.
• Coordinate vendor payments and related expenditure documentation.

Key Responsibilities Of The Data Entry Specialist

• Enter, maintain, and update donor and gift information in Raiser’s Edge NXT, ensuring data is accurate and complete.
• Process and reconcile gifts, pledges, grants, and restricted funds in accordance with donor intent.
• Prepare and maintain gift transmittals, reconciliations, reports, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with gift acknowledgements, donor communications, and stewardship activities.
• Process Development-related vendor payments, reimbursements, contracts, and expenditures, ensuring appropriate documentation.
• Help document and maintain standard operating procedures for gift processing and Development operations.

Qualifications Of The Data Entry Specialist

• 2+ years of experience in data entry, nonprofit development, gift processing, accounting, finance, donor relations, or a related field.
• Raiser’s Edge or Raiser’s Edge NXT experience is a strong requirement.
• Understanding of nonprofit fundraising operations, restricted funds, or fund accounting preferred.
