Job summary

The Salvation Army Northern Division Headquarters in Roseville, MN is seeking a Data Entry Assistant to support the Twin Cities Toy Shop program. You will enter and maintain Social Services program data in SIMS and TSAMM, verify data, and respond to inquiries, with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

This time-limited role requires a High School diploma, attention to detail, and strong computer skills; occasional local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with a management information system preferred.
• Must pass required background checks, possess a valid driver’s license, and meet The Salvation Army’s Motor Vehicle Record requirements.
• Demonstrated computer and internet proficiency with strong typing and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and maintain attention to detail.
• Interacts professionally and effectively with employees, participants, volunteers, and others.
• Handles confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Organized and able to manage assigned work efficiently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Data Entry (50%): Accurately and efficiently enter information into the SIMS database.
• Data Verification (20%): Verify the accuracy of data in SIMS and TSAMM.
• Inquiry Response (15%): Respond to inquiries regarding entered data.
• Document Management (5%): Maintain and secure received data and source documents.
• Database Support (5%): Support the maintenance and integrity of the SIMS database.
• Technical Support Coordination (5%): Contact the SIMS help desk to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
