AFMIC American Family Mutual Insurance Company, S.I. invites applications for a Summer 2027 Intern in Product Pricing and Data Science Engineering in Madison, WI.

The program develops your skills in pricing, underwriting, and data-driven decision making using Python, BigQuery, and Airflow as you contribute to analytics pipelines and cloud-based platforms. The 10–14 week internship runs from mid to late May through August, with potential housing cost assistance and a compensation range of $25.00

• Pursuing Bachelor's degrees in Data Science or Computer Science.

Summer 2027 Intern Product Pricing and Data Science Engineering

As the Product Pricing and Data Science Intern, you will help support the development, pricing, and underwriting of our insurance products. You will work on data engineering projects, analytics pipelines, cloud-based data platforms, and applications that leverage embedded agentic AI capabilities, while gaining hands-on experience with technologies such as Python, BigQuery, and Airflow.

An internship with American Family Insurance is a great opportunity to build your skillset and explore your career interests. Our summer student internship is a 10 to 14 week program that starts in mid to late May and ends in August.

During your internship, you'll work on impactful projects that make a difference at our company, with our customers, and in our communities. You'll also gain exposure to different areas of our business and have numerous opportunities for networking and coaching.

Interns may be eligible for a one-time hiring bonus to assist with housing costs depending upon proximity to an AmFam office location.

Compensation Minimum: $25.00

Compensation Maximum: $39.00

At times, sessions may be delivered virtually based on scheduling and availability.
