Medical Mutual is seeking a Manager, Data Engineering in the Brooklyn, OH office. The role leads a team of data engineers and business systems analysts, delivering enterprise data for Risk Adjustment, HEDIS, broker operations, and other functions.

The role combines hands-on leadership with architecture and data quality focus. The position emphasizes building scalable data warehouses, collaborating across Compliance, Legal, and IT security, and mentoring staff to maximize delivery and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software development or related field, or equivalent years of experience.
• Entry-level management position; prior management experience is not required.
• Knowledge of database systems and warehousing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software developers and data modelers to design and deliver functional data warehouse models.
• Create a robust, multi-layer warehouse for data scientists and analysts at all levels.
• Support data-driven decision making by collaborating with partner teams and ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
• Develop AI agents atop the data warehouse to assist leadership in deriving insights and taking action.
• Mentor team members and contribute to planning, roadmaps, and quality ownership.
