Job summary

The Doctors Company seeks a Manager Engineering & Sr Data Architect to lead the Data and AI architecture and engineering function. This hybrid role is preferred in New York City or another TDC/ProAssurance office, with team supervision and direct accountability for delivery and staff development.

The candidate will own Fabric architecture, enterprise data modeling, and governed AI enablement while guiding a capable team of data engineers and architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in CS/data/SE or related field.
• 10+ years enterprise data, analytics, engineering, or architecture experience.
• 3+ years directly managing data engineers and architects.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric and related components.
• Strong SQL, Python, PySpark, and CI/CD experience.
• Experience in regulated industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead data and AI architecture and engineering function as technical manager.
• Supervise data engineers, analytics engineers, and architects.
• Own Microsoft Fabric architecture and enterprise data modeling.
• Drive governance, performance tuning, and cost management.
• Partner with stakeholders across departments to align roadmaps.
• Foster coaching, performance reviews, and career development.
