Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience developing software to solve business problems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a business degree with focus on data transformation (or analysis), or equivalent work experience.
• Basic understanding of programming design and coding techniques.
• Familiarity with the systems development life cycle.
• Understanding of database technologies and query semantics.
• Experience with public cloud database technologies, including RedShift, SnowFlake, DataBricks, Azure Synapse, BigQuery.
• Experience programming with ETL or ELT technologies.
• Understanding of data warehouse data model theory and techniques.
• Python programming experience.
• Experience with data engineering system design and software implementation.
• Experience with all parts of the systems development life cycle.
• Experience leading and coordinating technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop data pipelines to integrate and transform data for analysis.
• Sequence and manage jobs and processes that transform data into data lake and data warehouse.
• Perform data profiling and create data documentation.
• Measure, enforce, and improve data quality using manual verification and automated data quality tests.
• Design and develop data models to represent information.
• Support analytic projects, including data extracts, demonstrations, and proof of data capabilities in the warehouse.
• Enable applied use of data by supporting other data users and helping stakeholders use data to meet objectives.
• Convene business meetings to understand data and business needs, capture agreement on business rules, and build consensus around data products and insights.
• Learn new technical concepts and software languages as needed.
• Provide additional support and complete other duties as assigned.
