Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead a team of 5-8 data engineers while continuing hands-on work on Databricks and Azure data platforms. This hybrid/remote role reports to the Global Head of Data Architecture & Engineering and drives data strategy across a global organization.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical delivery with people leadership, stakeholder management, and a track record of scalable, secure data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Significant data engineering experience with Databricks and Azure.
• Experience managing data engineers, hiring and performance.
• Proven delivery of production-grade data platforms.
• Ability to lead through influence.
• Excellent communication in a global, matrixed environment.
• Knowledge of modern data architectures (Lakehouse, Unity Catalog, data mesh).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and growth of scalable data pipelines.
• Remain hands-on on critical pipelines.
• Champion data quality, observability, governance.
• Directly manage a team of 5-8 engineers.
• Plan and orchestrate delivery across priorities.
• Partner with stakeholders across global teams.
• Own production health, SLOs and incident response.
