Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Data Engineering Senior Manager to blend hands-on delivery with people leadership. You will design and scale data pipelines on Databricks and Azure while growing a team of 5–8 engineers and analysts across global locations.

Reporting to the Global Head of Data Architecture & Engineering, you will shape data engineering standards, drive delivery, and mentor engineers in a collaboration‑driven, inclusive culture that emphasizes reliability, security, and cost

Qualifications

• Hands-on delivery on Databricks and Azure platforms at scale.
• Proven experience managing data engineers, including hiring and performance reviews.
• Track record building production-grade data platforms with reliability and cost control.
• Ability to influence complex work through collaboration and persuasion.
• Excellent communication with global stakeholders and leadership.
• Familiarity with modern data architectures (Lakehouse, Unity Catalog, data mesh).

Responsibilities

• Platform ownership: design, build, and improve scalable data pipelines and data products on Databricks and Azure.
• Hands-on contribution: continue to code and review critical pipelines and architecture.
• Quality and governance: embed data quality, observability, and security into standards.
• Team management: lead a 5–8 person data engineering team, including hiring and performance reviews.
• Delivery orchestration: plan and prioritize work to meet global data priorities with Agile discipline.
• Stakeholder collaboration: partner with business and tech teams to translate needs into data outcomes.
