Job summary

CVFine is hiring a Data Engineering Manager to lead a 6–8 person team building the core data platform on Databricks and Azure. This role combines hands-on architecture decisions with people leadership, budget ownership, and hiring responsibilities.

You will drive ingestion, transformation, and serving layers, set engineering standards, and partner with analytics, product, and ML teams to deliver scalable data infrastructure. Remote work aligns with IST hours and US overlap.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data engineering experience with 2+ years in a lead or management role.
• Strong Databricks and Azure expertise: Workflows, Unity Catalog, ADLS Gen2, ADF.
• Proven track record of managing and growing a team of engineers.
• Excellent communication skills — comfortable presenting to both engineers and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a distributed team of data engineers across the US and India.
• Own the roadmap for the data platform: ingestion, transformation, orchestration and serving layers.
• Drive adoption of Databricks Workflows, Unity Catalog and Delta Live Tables across the team.
• Partner with analytics, product and ML teams to deliver shared data infrastructure.
