Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a senior data engineer to design, build, and maintain Oracle/Vertica data pipelines and analytics platforms. You will lead development efforts, automate with Unix shell and Python, and ensure end-to-end data integrity across heterogeneous systems.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, deep Oracle SQL/PLSQL skills, data modeling expertise, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable database solutions within an Agile team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, IT, CS or equivalent.
• 8+ years of job related experience.
• Extensive Oracle SQL/PL/SQL experience.
• Experience with Oracle-driven data integration pipelines using SQL, PL/SQL and Unix shell.
• Experience with Autosys or similar job schedulers.
• Strong Agile delivery and story sizing.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and delivers feature delivery.
• Guides team on work breakdown and execution.
• Ensures backlog has clear acceptance criteria.
• Mentors the team and promotes engineering practices.
• Collaborates with Product Owner to ensure healthy requirements.
• Analyzes Oracle/Vertica data flows for optimization and automation.

• Ensures software quality through reviews, tests and UAT.
