Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of Oracle-centric data pipelines, analytics platforms, and data solutions. You will optimize data flows across Oracle, Vertica, and MS SQL, automate processes with Unix shell and Python, and ensure data quality and system stability.

You will provide technical direction, oversee design and maintenance of complex programs, and collaborate with product teams to align solutions with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering/Science/IT
• 8+ years of related experience
• Experience with Oracle SQL/PL/SQL
• Experience building Oracle-driven data integration pipelines
• Experience with Autosys or similar schedulers
• SQL/PLSQL development including packages, functions, procedures, triggers, bulk processing
• Agile delivery and requirements refinement
• Oracle data warehousing and data modeling basics
• Unix shell scripting
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and delivers features

• Ensures solutions meet acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
• Guides team on work breakdown and execution
• Collaborates with Product Owner to maintain healthy backlog and clear acceptance criteria

• Ensures data quality and system stability across Oracle/Vertica pipelines
