Job summary

HirexHire is seeking a Data Engineering Lead to join the client’s Denver team in a hybrid role. You will lead the architecture and build of an analytics data platform, constructing high-quality data pipelines, a Snowflake data warehouse, and well-modeled datasets to drive performance and decision-making across a global SaaS environment.

The role emphasizes ownership of data pipelines, scaling, governance, and API integrations to expose data for downstream analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years building and operating production-grade data platforms.
• 3+ years using dbt to build data warehouse solutions.
• Strong knowledge and experience in SQL, Python, and data modeling.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and tools like Databricks, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Snowflake, Rivery, dbt preferred
• Understanding of Gen AI concepts including LLMs, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and vector databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ELT workflows for ingesting, transforming, and integrating data from diverse sources.
• Take ownership of a Snowflake-based data warehouse incorporating dbt best practices.
• Write and iterate on complex SQL for large datasets while maintaining strong performance and accuracy.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Build and integrate with APIs and services to expose integrated data to downstream applications and analytics platforms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
