Job summary

TetraScience, Inc. is seeking a data engineering leader to guide a team of Scientific Data Engineers, building scalable, productizable data solutions that power pre-clinical and lab data workflows.

You will mentor engineers, own data models and parsing components, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver production-grade pipelines and dashboards using Python, SQL, and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building solutions as a Data Engineer or similar field
• 10+ years of Python and SQL with a data focus
• Experience managing engineering teams (5+ direct reports)
• Experience leading projects with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication, detail-oriented, delivery-focused

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Scientific Data Engineers and mentor junior members
• Gather business requirements with cross-functional teams and translate into solutions
• Own data models, prototypes, and production-ready components
• Build data pipelines with thorough unit and integration testing
• Develop data applications and dashboards using React/Streamlit/Jupyter
• Drive customer value and ensure solutions meet requirements
• Promote quality and developer experience improvements
• Deliver Agile sprint commitments and resolve blockers
