Job summary

TetraScience, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead Scientific Data Engineers across multiple squads and drive technical and organizational excellence. You will craft roadmaps, improve processes, and ensure high-quality, scalable systems while mentoring leaders and shaping the org.

Strong collaboration with Product, Design, and executive leaders is essential. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of experience, a track record of building efficient teams, and a passion for delivering

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record identifying and resolving operatio nal inefficiencies at scale.
• Commitment to engineering excellence including quality and reliability.
• Experience managing managers and evolving org structure.
• Strong technical background to discuss architecture and design decisions.
• Excellent communication with executive stakeholders.
• Experience using engineering metrics to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Scientific Data Engineers across squads to deliver high-impact outcomes.
• Identify bottlenecks, set cadence, and implement measurement tooling.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, architecture, and reliability.
• Partner with product/design and stakeholders on roadmaps and priorities.
• Own budget, headcount planning, and resource allocation for the org.
• Mentor, hire, and retain engineering talent and develop future leaders.
