Job summary

CNA Insurance invites students to join its Tech Summer Internship. The Data Engineering track supports design, development, and integration of strategic data applications across the SDLC with hands-on experience.

Participants will work on large-scale data systems, learn SQL/NoSQL concepts, and explore cloud data lake constructs, while mentored by CNA developers in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a sophomore, junior or senior (undergraduate) or first year in a Master's program pursuing CS/IT or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (overall and major).
• Working knowledge of relational database concepts.
• 1+ years of coding proficiency in at least one language (Python, R, SQL).
• Interest in the Insurance Industry and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Participate in building large-scale data processing systems and data lakes on Google Cloud Platform.
• Apply data modeling best practices and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with CNA developers to learn Agile programming.
• Gain exposure to CNA's technology and insurance industry environment.
