Job summary

CNA's Tech Summer Internship Program invites qualified students to join a fast-paced 10-12 week training cohort in Chicago. Interns will gain hands-on experience across data engineering, data lakes, SQL/NoSQL, and Google Cloud Platform, working with real projects and mentors.

Participants should be pursuing a CS/IT degree, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, strong problem-solving and teamwork skills, and a desire to learn about the insurance industry.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior or senior undergrad or first-year Master's in CS/IT.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (overall and major).
• Working knowledge of relational databases.
• 1+ years coding in Python, R, or SQL.
• Interest in the Insurance Industry.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Data Engineering interns will participate in design, development and integration of data applications across the software lifecycle.
• Assist in building large-scale data processing systems and data lakes on Google Cloud Platform, focusing on performance and storage efficiency.
