Job summary

CNA’s Tech Summer Internship Program seeks a team of Data Engineering interns for a 10–12 week training program offering hands-on experience across technologies. Interns will participate in the design, development and integration of strategic data applications throughout the software development lifecycle.

Applicants should be sophomores to seniors or first-year Masters students in CS/IT, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and coding experience in Python, R or SQL.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior or senior (undergrad) or first-year Master in CS/IT or related field.
• GPA 3.0+ (overall and major) required.
• Coding in at least one language (Python, R or SQL) for 1+ year.
• Interest in the Insurance industry preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability or teamwork experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, development and integration of data apps across SDLC.
• Work with CNA developers to learn Agile practices and data engineering workflows.
• Contribute to building data lakes and large-scale data processing on GCP.
