Job summary

CNA’s Tech Summer Internship Program in Chicago offers a 10-12 week intensive experience, with hands-on work in data engineering across the software lifecycle. You will participate in designing data models, building data lakes, and deploying scalable cloud-based solutions with guidance from senior developers.

You must be a sophomore, junior, or senior undergraduate (or first-year Master's) in CS/IT with a minimum 3.0 GPA and familiarity with relational databases and programming (Python/R/SQL).

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior or senior undergrad or first year of Master's in CS/IT or related field.
• GPA 3.0 minimum (overall and major).
• Experience with relational databases and at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building large-scale data processing systems and data lakes on Google Cloud Platform.
• Contribute to data modeling and best engineering practices.
• Design complex physical data models and cloud-based data lake constructs (SQL/NoSQL).
• Collaborate with CNA developers to learn Agile programming.
