Job summary

Trading Technologies Limited in New York seeks a Data Engineer to join the Data & Analytics team. You will migrate and optimize a large SQL Server-based data platform to Snowflake and AWS, building ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable data solutions.

You will work across SQL Server and Snowflake environments, developing capabilities and validating data quality while ensuring production systems run smoothly. A hybrid work model is available with in-office collaboration three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on SQL development experience.
• Experience with large datasets and production data systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL Server queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and data processing workflows.
• Design and develop scalable Snowflake data solutions, including data models, SQL transformations, loading processes, and analytical workloads.
• Participate in the migration of large volumes of data from SQL Server to Snowflake.
• Analyze existing SQL Server logic and translate or redesign it for Snowflake where appropriate.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and Airflow.
• Develop data ingestion and processing workflows using AWS, including S3.
• Perform SQL Server and Snowflake performance tuning, including query optimization and indexing.
• Build data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure migrated data is accurate.
• Troubleshoot production data issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting for data pipelines.
• Collaborate with software engineers, service managers, product teams and DevOps.
• Support and enhance Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) products and data analytics.
• Work with large-scale trade, market, and financial data.
