Job summary

Business Centric Technology in Addison, TX is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain ELT pipelines for a cloud-native analytics platform on Azure and Snowflake. You will implement Bronze/Silver/Gold data transformations and ensure reliable production workloads.

You will handle data ingestion, modeling, and governance, collaborating with an AI/ML engineer to prepare Silver-layer data for ML. This role is initially onsite with potential for partial remote days after ramp-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/IS.
• 5–8+ years in data engineering with Azure and Snowflake.
• Strong SQL with advanced techniques (SCD Type 2, RBAC).
• Experience with HIPAA/PII regulated data.
• Nice to have Python, dbt, and CI/CD for pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ELT pipelines in Azure Data Factory ingesting diverse data sources into ADLS Gen2.
• Implement Snowflake Bronze → Silver → Gold transformations with incremental loads and SCD Type 2.
• Write and optimize T-SQL against SQL Server for extraction without impacting operations.
• Maintain pipeline monitoring, alerts, and 24/7 uptime support.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to ensure ML-ready Silver-layer data structures.
