OneAmerica Financial is seeking a Data Engineer to build and support a modern cloud data platform focused on fast, reliable data delivery. The role emphasizes Snowflake, ELT/ETL pipelines, and scalable architecture with collaboration across analytics and business teams.

Ideal candidates have strong SQL and Python skills, hands-on Snowflake experience, and familiarity with dbt and CI/CD practices. This hybrid Indianapolis position offers opportunity to contribute to data governance and enterprise

Formación

• Bachelors Degree.
• 3+ years of data engineering or related experience.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platform.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with transforms and window functions.
• Proficient in Python for data engineering, scripting, or automation.
• Experience building or supporting production ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Experience with dbt or similar transformation framework.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling and modern data architectures.
• Experience integrating data from multiple source systems.
• Familiarity with Git, code review, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines in Snowflake.
• Develop ELT workflows using dbt and modern tooling.
• Apply Bronze/Silver/Gold patterns within Medallion Architecture.
• Integrate data from operational systems and third-party platforms.
• Write reusable SQL and Python for data transformation and automation.
• Monitor pipelines, investigate failures, and resolve data quality issues.
• Support Snowflake cost optimization and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, and business teams to clarify requirements.
• Contribute to data modeling, governance, and engineering standards.
• Participate in code reviews, releases, and continuous improvement.
