Job summary

Trucordia Insurance Services, LLC is hiring a Data Engineer to design, build, and operate our data platform. You will own dbt models and Snowflake pipelines end to end, onboard new sources, and ensure reliable nightly runs while collaborating with Analytics, Sales, Operations, and Finance.

You will work with our Data & Analytics team within the Data & Technology organization to improve governance, observability, and semantic layers for internal apps and BI tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience building production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills including window functions and data quality checks.
• Hands-on dbt experience in a production project.
• Proficiency in Python for data work.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Able to document solutions and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models across staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
• Onboard new data sources into Snowflake and write loading/quality checks.
• Keep the nightly dbt run healthy and diagnose failures.
• Improve observability with tests, freshness checks, and drift alerts.
• Tune Snowflake cost and performance via sizing and clustering.
• Contribute to governance: role grants and security policies.
• Build backend data layer for internal apps and support deployments.
• Translate business questions into reproducible models and document results.
