Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a Data Engineer to design and develop BI solutions across multiple stacks. You will translate metrics into actionable insights, build datamarts, and create dashboards to drive planning and performance across the business.

You’ll collaborate with analytics leadership and engineers, implement ETL processes using Cloudera, and deliver interactive Tableau dashboards while mentoring interns and guiding data scientists in best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2–4 years of progressive data engineering experience.
• Experience with PySpark/Python/Spark/Scala in Linux.
• Knowledge of the principle, practices and techniques of dashboard development, reporting, data modeling, ETL and systems design.
• Experience with SQL Spark and Hadoop or AWS S3.

Responsibilities

• Define data reporting requirements with business users and identify data gaps.
• Design backend data sources using Cloudera stack.
• Create complex Tableau dashboards and scorecards to support business processes.
• Perform in-depth data analysis for cause-effect insights.
• Develop ETL processes to support production and ad-hoc analyses.
• Mentor interns and collaborate with Data Science teams.
