Job summary

Early Warning Services LLC in the United States is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and deploy BI solutions across multiple stacks. You will translate metrics into clear information to inform planning, trending, and operational performance, while building datamarts and dashboards.

You will collaborate with analytics leadership, mentor interns, and support data platform modernization using Cloudera, Hadoop, and Tableau to deliver scalable data infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in PySpark/Python/Spark/Scala for Data Engineering in Linux.
• Understanding of Tableau Server and Tableau Dashboard.
• Strong problem solving, analysis, and testing skills.
• Knowledge of dashboard development, data modeling, ETL, and systems design.
• Experience with relational databases and query optimization.
• Experience with Python and data science toolkits (Python/R).
• Experience building data ingestion/storage frameworks in Hadoop or AWS/S3.
• Collaborative work with engineering/tech teams in regulated environments.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for reports/dashboards and identify data gaps.
• Design and develop backend data sources using Cloudera stack.
• Create dashboards/reports in Tableau to support business processes and trends.
• Perform in-depth data analysis to derive logical insights.
• Design ETL processes to support production and ad-hoc analyses.
• Mentor and train interns and guide Data Scientists on best practices.
• Collaborate with analytics leadership and engineers on platform improvements.
• Support risk management and data confidentiality.
