Job summary

Early Warning Services LLC, a leader in payments infrastructure, is seeking a Data Engineer to design and deliver BI solutions across multiple tech stacks. Hybrid work model supports collaboration with business users to define dashboards, data sources, and analytics.

You will build data pipelines using PySpark/Python on Linux, design ETL, and create Tableau dashboards to drive performance insights. Collaboration with Data Science and Engineering teams is essential, including mentoring interns.

Qualifications

• Education typically obtained through a Bachelor's degree.
• 2-4 years of experience in PySpark/Python/Spark/Scala in a Linux environment for Data Engineering development.
• Understanding of Tableau Server and Tableau Dashboard.
• Experience with SQL Spark and relational databases; ETL and data modeling.
• Experience building data ingestion/storage on Hadoop or AWS/S3; collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for reports/dashboards with business users and identify data gaps.
• Design and develop data sources and backend solutions using Cloudera stack.
• Create dashboards/reports in Tableau to support business processes and projections.
• Perform in-depth data analysis and cause-effect analysis for insights.
• Design ETL processes and data manipulations for analyses and reporting.
• Collaborate on data platforms, standards, and best practices.
• Provide training/support to business teams and develop analytics tools.
• Mentor interns and guide Data Scientists on software engineering practices.
