Job summary

Travelers Data Engineering is hiring a Data Engineer to build and deploy data solutions that empower AI, ML, and BI initiatives. You will design and operationalize data pipelines, transform and validate data, and collaborate with teams to enable analytics across the enterprise.

You should bring a strong foundation in STEM, 8+ years of experience, and a track record in data engineering with Gen AI applications, including Python proficiency and cloud fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field or equivalent.
• Eight years of related experience.
• Proven Gen AI concepts knowledge (Agentic Frameworks, RAG, LLM, Chunking, Hyper-parameters).
• Experience as a Full Stack Designer/architect focused on data engineering and Gen AI.
• Proficient in Python.
• Strong command of cloud platforms and modern software practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize complex data solutions; apply transformations and data quality rules.
• Design complex data solutions and assess value of data sources.
• Analyze data sources to determine usage in analytics processes.
• Include data governance, security, and quality in data products.
• Collaborate across teams to support delivery and educate end users.
