Cox Automotive's Data & Analytics team is building scalable data solutions to transform raw data into actionable insights. The Data Engineer I role offers hands-on experience with cloud platforms, data warehousing, and AI-assisted workflows as part of a collaborative team.

You will develop data pipelines, contribute to the Data Vault warehouse, and work with analysts to translate requirements into scalable solutions, while improving data quality and performance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and up to 2 years of related experience.
• Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries.
• Understanding of relational database concepts, including tables, joins, keys, and normalization.
• Foundational knowledge of data integration, ETL/ELT, or data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Python or SQL or PowerShell.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Build, test, and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data from operational and third-party source systems.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of our Data Vault-based data warehouse.
• Develop and optimize ELT processes using modern cloud data platforms and transformation tools.
• Partner with analysts and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Monitor and improve data quality, reliability, and performance across warehouse and reporting solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and technical design discussions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data flows, transformations, and business rules.
• Support production processes and assist in troubleshooting data-related issues.
• Use AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code as part of daily engineering work.
• Continuously learn and apply emerging technologies, tools, and engineering best practices.
