Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Data Engineer II to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions in a modern cloud data platform. You will partner with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data products that empower reporting, analytics, and AI-driven initiatives.

You will own solutions from design through implementation, using cloud tech and automation to improve data delivery, governance, and consumption across the organization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or related field.
• Experience with ETL processes, data extraction, transformation, cleansing, mapping, and migration.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting production data pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL for data transformation and analytics workloads.
• Experience with cloud-based data, analytics, or software platforms.
• Experience with source control and collaborative software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable data pipelines and integration solutions for analytics and reporting.
• Build and enhance enterprise data models and warehouse solutions for self-service analytics and AI use cases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn business requirements into reliable data products.
• Improve platform performance, reliability, and observability through optimization and automation.
• Lead problem-solving, including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of data issues.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices in data delivery and governance.
