Job summary

Patelco Credit Union is seeking a Data Engineer to help transform Patelco into a data-driven organization. You’ll design, develop, deploy and operate data analytics on modern cloud platforms and collaborate with business and technology teams to enable data-as-a-service.

You’ll work with Snowflake, cloud data platforms, and BI tools to deliver scalable data pipelines, curated data models, and actionable insights in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Engineering, Data Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong Python for data engineering and AI/ML solution development.
• Hands-on with Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse or equivalent.
• Advanced SQL and relational database experience with data warehouses.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and vector databases.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau or similar visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Develops and delivers data & analytics solutions to timelines and priorities.
• Analyzes sources and builds optimized data pipelines for ingestion and enrichment.
• Designs analytical data models and standardized data sets for analytics.
• Enables dashboards and reports in Tableau or Power BI with insights.
• Adheres to enterprise data standards and governance; improves best practices.
• Collaborates with offshore/external partners and manages delivery.
