Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Data Engineer to build and operationalize data solutions, transforming data for AI, ML, and BI across the enterprise. You will design, deploy, and optimize pipelines while ensuring data governance and security.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree with multiple years of experience in data engineering, Databricks, and modern DevOps tooling. This role includes a comprehensive benefits package and a strong emphasis on collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or equivalent.
• Six years of related experience.
• Strong data engineering fundamentals and building data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize complex data solutions, correct problems, apply transformations, and recommend data cleansing/quality solutions.
• Analyze sources to determine value and include data in analytical processes.
• Incorporate data governance, data security and data quality.
• Collaborate within and across teams to support delivery and educate end users on data products/analytic environment.
• Perform data and system analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents of moderate complexity.
• Test data movement, transformation code, and data components.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
