Job summary

DLA Piper seeks a Data Engineer to design, build, and operate data pipelines that translate raw data into trusted datasets for analytics and reporting. You’ll work on governance, quality, and secure data access for business initiatives, consolidating sources into a centralized SQL-based integration point.

The role emphasizes operationalizing pipelines, data warehousing with Azure Synapse, and collaboration in an Agile pod model to deliver reusable data assets across initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering and/or data platform engineering (pipelines, integration, and operational support).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with data pipelines and cloud data services (Azure).
• Familiarity with governance, data quality, and monitoring practices.
• Ability to work in Agile teams and deliver reusable data assets.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize data pipelines across heterogeneous environments in line with SLAs.
• Develop ingestion, transformation, and publication of pipelines to deliver analytics-ready data.
• Centralize data from multiple sources and manage field mappings for consistent downstream consumption.
• Design and implement data pipelines using Azure data tech to ingest and deliver data.
• Build data warehousing capabilities (Azure Synapse) to support analytics and reporting.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality, latency, and security issues; apply monitoring practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver data solutions in sprints.
